step-by-step route: study section 1

Assessment

This section of the step-by-step route relates to Outcome 1 of the Unit.

Achievement of this outcome will be assessed by a report of between 1500 and 3000 words which addresses the key learning aims and objectives. The assessment exercise is provided in your Assessment Guide. Feel free to look at the exercise at any time.

This assessment is the formal assessment for Outcome 1 of the Unit. Before attempting the assessment exercise, however, you are expected to make a significant contribution to the online discussions and to carry out the activities associated with the programme themes.

Taking an active part in online discussions and carrying out other tasks in this section will help you build up a collection of online resources that should prove useful both for the assessment and for future reference and reflection.

The report must reflect your own situation or that of your organisation.

The report must demonstrate that you have carried out research into current and emerging practice in online learning and have discussed topics and sought and reflected on the views of others by means of online discussions.

Your final report should be submitted to your facilitator for marking by email. If you experience problems with this, please contact your facilitator or your training provider.
