Evidence Building: Assessment 2

If you are already experienced in supporting learners online, you may already have plenty of evidence for your portfolio. There is no need for you to acquire duplicate evidence.

Whether you are an experienced online tutor or just starting out you should ensure that the evidence you collect for your portfolio meets the pc's and evidence requirements for LO2 and LO3. As you build your portfolio keep track of what evidence you have already acquired for which pc's, and identify which pc's you still have to acquire evidence for. The assessment 2 checklist is a helpful guide.

When you identify gaps in your portfolio and commentary the Evidence Building activities in this route will offer suggestions on how you might fill those gaps. As with assessment 1, you are not required to do every, or any, activity. You should concentrate on activities that help you fill the most obvious gaps in your portfolio.

Get help and guidance from your facilitator and others in the group whenever you are unsure how to acquire evidence, or carry out any particular activities. If you have any doubt about whether a piece of evidence meets a particular pc, please consult your facilitator.

There are two types of evidence building activity:

Assignment Activity
This consists of an interim review of portfolio evidence you have acquired . It gives you a chance to get feedback from your facilitator and others in the group.

Targeted Activities
Focused activities relating to particular requirements of the assessment. Useful for addressing issues you have identified as weak areas.
